Effective teamwork matters more now than ever as the pandemic has forced physical separation and upended business as usual. Working remotely and in times of crisis requires a high level of communication, alignment, and trust—making now the ideal time to prioritize team-building.

As an Authorized Partner of the Everything DiSC® and Five Behaviors® systems, Starboard firmly believes that effective leaders aren’t born that way and strong teams don’t just happen: they’re developed. With the right support and sufficient will, individual leaders and teams can move from good to great.

Everything DiSC® connects people on a human level to deliver “A-ha!” moments that transform workplaces from talented individuals into collaborative, thriving cultures, while the Five Behaviors® model of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results drives team effectiveness and productivity.

Starboard has been using these proven tools for years to meet our clients’ team-building needs, and now we’ve pivoted to virtual formats in response to social distancing requirements. Optimizing the engagement tools available through Zoom, we’ve facilitated large- and small-group trainings; and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Starboard Consulting Partner Laura Mitchell is also offering an impactful, free 60-minute virtual team-building experience using the Ideal Team Player Model from Pat Lencioni, whose work gave rise to the Five Behaviors system. It will increase team cohesion, trust, self-awareness and key skills. Participants will walk away with a peer coach to help them on their ongoing personal development journey. This training also provides tools and access to a free book: Three Questions for Frantic Families, also by Lencioni, which can help families working and schooling at home find greater peace and purpose together.
